Policies & Procedures

 

Payment.

Payment is required at time of service and can be paid by cash, card, or check. Cards on file will be auto-billed after session is completed. Payment arrangements for certain specific tasks, such as psychological testing, consulting, or court-ordered appearances will be discussed with you and agreed upon before any charges are applied to your account.

 

Cancellations.

If you know you will need to miss or reschedule an appointment, please let your therapist know as soon as possible. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hour notice, you will be charged a cancellation fee. Appointment cancellation can be done through the Client Portal, by phone, or email. No-show appointments are charged at the set rate for the scheduled service.

Sliding Scale.

Fees are set before or during first session, but concerns should be discussed as they arise. To assist with financial hardship, we offer a sliding fee scale for therapy services based on client’s income. Proof of income may be required to be eligible for fee reductions. Please talk with your therapy about any financial concerns impacting your ability to receive services.

 

Outside Contact & Confidentiality.

It is not uncommon to see clients around town from time to time (e.g., in the grocery store, at the gym, etc.). Should your therapist see you outside of our session, they will not engage you in conversation in order to protect your privacy, based on the ethical obligation to maintain your confidentiality. You are not bound by these ethics however, so if you’d prefer to say hello, you are welcome to do so.

Insurance.

We do not accept insurance, therefore are considered out-of-network for most insurance companies. At your request, we will provide a superbill which you may be able to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider for more information about specific requirements.

 

Emergencies.

If you are in crisis or in an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. We do not provide 24 hour crisis-intervention services.
